The Milwaukee Power will hit the road for the first time in three weeks as they travel to Oregon to take on the Tradesmen on Friday at 7:30pm at the Oregon Ice Center. The Power will be back at home at Kettle Moraine Ice Center on Saturday for a 7:30pm puck drop.
The Power (5-4-1) currently sits in second place in the Central Division with 10 points. They are coming off a weekend split with the West Division Minnesota Loons. The Power was held scoreless on Friday but battled back for an exciting 5-3 victory on home ice Saturday night. Owen Drake led the Power with the game winning goal and 2 assists. Adam Prokop got the victory in the Power net, stopping 37 of 40 MN shots.
The Power is led in scoring by Connor O’Neal with 10 points followed by Patrick Toomey and Max Erstad with 8 points each.
Oregon (4-2) currently sits in 4th place in the Central Division with 6 points. They are coming in on a 3-game winning streak, sweeping the Wilmar Warhawks on the road last weekend, and taking down the first place Rochester Grizzlies 5-3 on 9/24. Oregon is led in scoring by Carter Watters and Dillon Schmidt with 7 points each.
The Power will look to step up a solid, balanced offensive effort as they face a strong Oregon defensive core. The Power needs to establish a bigger compete in Friday night games and capitalize on scoring opportunities. Adam Prokop will get the starts in the Power net and needs to perform strong as Spencer Northway has been called up to the Des Moines Buccaneers in the USHL.
Saturday night is Mental Health Awareness night in conjunction with NAMI Washington County at Kettle Moraine Ice Center. Join the Power as we work to help end the stigma of mental health. Game time is 7:30pm. Tickets can be purchased at the door.
